invites students to participate in the scientific
conference entitled:
TAKING PLACE ON 25 MARCH 2026
Sustainable practices are becoming an indispensable part of contemporary international business. Companies and organizations operating in a global environment are increasingly facing challenges in effectively integrating sustainability principles into their business models, strategic decisions, and everyday operational processes. Changes in legislation, stakeholder expectations, technological development, as well as the social and environmental context, require new knowledge, innovative approaches, and a deeper understanding of sustainable development in the international business environment.
The conference aims to promote the exchange of scientific and professional insights and to encourage discussion on the challenges, opportunities, and best practices related to the implementation of sustainable approaches in international business.
The presented papers will serve as a basis for the creation of new knowledge that will be relevant both in the academic sphere and in practical application. Professors as well as students are invited to submit scientific papers. Students in the first and second years of the Master’s study programme, as well as those in the third year of the Bachelor study programme, are expected to prepare their papers within the framework of one of the courses in the relevant Master’s or Bachelor curriculum . The course holder or course instructor will act as a mentor in the preparation of the paper.

Guidelines for preparing the PowerPoint presentation:

Length: 5–10 slides.

The total presentation time at the conference is 15 minutes (10 minutes for the presentation and 5 minutes for questions from the audience).

Please send your PPT by March 5, 2026 to referat@ibs.si.
From all submitted PPTs, we will select the 6 most interesting ones, which will present their paper live at the conference on March 25, 2026, in the lecture room at Dunajska 177. For all participants who are selected to present, in-person attendance on March 25, 2026 is mandatory.
All submitted coference papers will be published in the conference proceedings titled “Challenges of Implementing Sustainable Practices in the International Business Environment.”
